What is an envelope sheet?
A fitted sheet is a sheet that is specially sewn for the top mattress of the bed, and which therefore only covers the top mattress itself and not the mattress underneath. Many people choose to use a fitted sheet that only covers the top mattress if they are the lucky owners of a box mattress, elevated bed or continental bed that is upholstered in durable furniture fabric that looks beautiful on its own when the sheet is not on.
What is a box sheet?
A box sheet is also called a fitted sheet. It is a sheet that has a smooth surface and is sewn with elastic in the corners of the sheet. It fits a box mattress and, thanks to the elastic, can easily be stretched over the edges of the box mattress. Please note that a box sheet does not necessarily fit a box mattress with a top mattress. This depends on the total height of the box and top mattress. If the total height exceeds 30cm, you will need a separate fitted sheet for the top mattress.
