Experience pure luxury with a cashmere plaid
One of the most exclusive and softest materials you can choose for a throw is cashmere wool. A soft cashmere blanket or throw is perfect for those who want the absolute best. Our cashmere products are irresistible, soft and wonderfully warm to wrap yourself in – for both children and adults. When you are not using it, the throw can function as a decoration in your home.
A blanket is for many the epitome of Danish coziness. There's nothing better than wrapping yourself up in a soft cashmere blanket with a warm cup of tea and a good book in hand in the winter. It's the perfect companion for a cozy evening, whether you're going to be inside or outside on the terrace on a warm summer evening.
Cashmere has the property that when you wear it on your body, you will always feel a comfortable temperature, as the wool is temperature regulating. Read more about how to care for your cashmere here .
What is the difference between a plaid and a blanket?
The word plaid originally comes from the Gaelic word plaide, meaning blanket of wool. The blankets were part of the Scottish costume and were woven with the characteristic checks of each clan. Later the word was used for woolen blankets, which are often fringed.
Rugs refer to a large piece of textile, such as wool. They are often used as a cover on a bed or sofa. Here the difference between a rug and a plaid is usually the size. The rug is typically large enough to cover large furniture such as a bed, while a plaid is often slightly smaller in size and more exclusive.
